About Me

     Hi!  I am Laura Blasiole, but my students just call me Mrs. B. I LOVE being a part of the Westside family! I am a Virginia native, born and raised in Roanoke over in the Blue Ridge Mountains. My husband, three of our children and I moved here to Smithfield 14 years ago. This is my fifth year teaching at Westside and I am a proud member of House DUENDE, the House of Leaders!  

     I have a Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University and a Masters in Education from Lynchburg College (now the University of Lynchburg.) I love having fun with children, learning, reading, playing and sailing.  I am an active member of Harvest Fellowship Baptist Church in Smithfield, and a leader in Sea Scout Ship 16 in Driver. I believe that everyday is a gift and so are the people in it. Let's make this the best year yet!
