Students will learn how to perform a variety of rhythms, read music notation, and perform with their peers by engaging in higher-ordered thinking to build awareness of their actions as musicians. Parents must obtain their children's instrument by renting from a music company (preferred method), purchasing an instrument (either new or used), or borrowing one from a willing family member or friend. Daily home practice is expected and required of all students. Performing in scheduled concerts is also required.
