About Me

My name is Karen Pryor and I will be your child’s math and history teacher this year. 

     This will be my 24^th year of teaching, and my 14^th year in Virginia. My family moved here for the Air Force and when my husband retired, we decided to stay. I am also retired Air Force, I was a Hospital Administrator. This means that I am a stickler for rules and structure, but I also like to make learning fun. I will try to do my best teaching for your child during this challenging year.

     We are on a 2-teacher team: I will teach Math and History and Mrs. Jenkins will teach Language Arts and Science. History will be taught one semester at a time so some students will have have History the first semester and Science the second semester. 

      If you ever need to reach me, my email address is [email protected]. I will post the next week's agenda every Friday to let you know what will be happening in our classroom that upcoming week. 

     I do believe in homework, however, it will only be 5 problems each night, Monday thru Thursday, and should not take more than 30 minutes to finish. If it does take longer, please let me know.
