The Isle of Wight County School Board holds its regular meetings on the second Thursday of each month.  Meetings are usually held in the  Robert C Claud, Sr. Board Room at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse, Isle of Wight County, Virginia 23397.  Any changes to the meeting schedule can be found on the IWCS Events Calendar at https://www.iwcs.k12.va.us/apps/events/

Meetings begin at 5:00pm.  After calling the meeting to order, the Board will vote to move into closed session.  At 6:00 pm, the board will reconvene in open session.   Isle of Wight Achievers and special presentations occur shortly after 6:00 p.m. 

 Citizens wishing to speak during the citizens comments section of the meeting can contact Tracey Reutt, Board Clerk, at [email protected], or by calling 757-357-8841 prior to the meeting.  Citizens can also sign up to speak the night of the meeting.  All requests to speak on a topic related to an item on the School Board’s Meeting Agenda must be submitted to the Superintendent's office at least one(1) business day prior to the school board meeting.  A person who is requesting to speak on a topic unrelated to an Agenda item should submit the request at least one (1) business day prior to the school board meeting, but also may sign up at the beginning of the meeting on the signup sheet placed at the entrance of the meeting room. Requests to speak during closed session must be made prior to 5:00pm the night of the meeting.  Requests to speak during Citizen Comments must be made before 6:00pm the night of the meeting. 

The School Board of Isle of Wight County is in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. If you will require an accommodation or sign language interpreter to participate in the meeting, reasonable accommodations can be made upon request.
